With a whole lot of Head banging goodness, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have the psych punk genre down pact. Following up from their first EP Anglesea released in 2011, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have kept up the antics with their first debut album, 12 Bar Bruise, set to be released on the 7th of September. Heavy bass and drums beats are prevalent throughout the album, as well as the distinct sounds of a very cool harmonica. The entire album made me feel like dancing around to my own accord. In particular my favorite picks out of the twelve tracks would have to be ‘Bloody Ripper’ and ‘Elbow’. This psychedelic punk rock collaboration not only gets you moving, but it takes you to a dingy old shed along a costal town, where the tunes are played loudly and the smell of sea salt lingers in the air. A perfect road-trip album for those anticipated summer months.
