It was only after listening to this song a few times that it really grew on me. Initially deceiving you for something out of a heavy rock album, it is only until the key electronic synth drops that you begin to realize you’ve come to the right place. Keeping your ears eager for more, the tone of the song shifts and changes as it continues to surprise you throughout its four-minute existence. Cleverly unionizing creepy beats with electronic 80s synths the Glasgow trio, Apollo Gets The Girl, present us with their debut single Kitten. The single is fit for an 80s si-fi flick and shows off two of the bands heaviest influences, space and 80s film soundtracks. The video for the new track continues to demonstrate the bands love of the 80s as it features two very prominent keytars, an instrument that is one part keyboard and one part guitar. Keeping in tune with the entire 80s scene the Glasgow trio pull off such a daring move and give us a pretty sweet track. Kitten is set to be self-released on the 4th of March.
